A robotic welding system is both a machine and a welding process. Our quality framework is therefore built on two axes: the safety and conformity of the machine, and the metallurgical quality of the weld. The standards and processes we work to on both axes are set out below.
1.CE Conformity and Machinery Safety
Every delivered system is designed with machinery safety requirements in mind and handed over with a declaration of conformity. The declaration defines the scope of the system, the standards applied and the basis of the technical file.
During design, risk assessment is carried out around the system layout and operator interaction: access points, crushing and shearing risks, arc radiation and fume, stopping distances of moving axes and the emergency stop chain are each addressed separately.

2.Welding Quality Management
Welding is a "special process" that cannot be fully verified after the fact; quality is therefore secured in how the process is set up, not in the weld itself. This is why Robentex does not separate welding engineering from automation design.
2.1.Process Documentation
- Determining the welding procedure from part and joint analysis
- Preparing the WPS (welding procedure specification) and transferring it into the robot program
- Qualifying the procedure through a WPQR (procedure qualification record)
- Sample welding trials and, where required, destructive or non-destructive examination
2.2.Welding Standards Referenced
- EN ISO 3834: quality requirements for fusion welding; the framework of the welding management system
- Product and application standards according to the scope of the individual project
3.Quality Management System
Design, purchasing, manufacturing, commissioning and after-sales service are run within a defined quality management system. ISO 9001 is the reference for this system; process inputs, records and corrective actions are maintained within that framework.
4.Personnel Competence
Weld quality depends on the people who build and verify the system as much as on the system itself.
- Welding engineering processes are supervised by personnel with IWE / IWT competence
- Welder qualifications are assessed according to the process and material group applied
- Operator and maintenance training after commissioning is part of the project scope
5.Sharing of Documents
System and project specific documents (declaration of conformity, technical file summary, welding procedures and personnel qualifications) are delivered within the project scope.
