Robentex System Family

Portal & Gantry Systems

Project-specific gantry systems that carry the robot to the workpiece for ship panels, transformer tanks and heavy steel.

Column gantry robotic welding system with a walkway platform
System Overview

What the system does and how it is engineered

On large workpieces the part stays put and the robot travels. Robentex portal and gantry systems are engineered with axis lengths from 12 to 36 metres, carrying the robot to every point of the part and correcting paths against real geometry via laser seam finding.

Axis Length
12–36 m
Torch Configuration
Single / Synchronized Dual
Sensing
3D Laser Seam Finding

Applications

  • Ship panel and block lines
  • Transformer tank bodies
  • Heavy structural steel

Key Features

  • Project-specific bridge and rail design
  • Multi-robot synchronized motion
  • Protection class suited to harsh sites
  • Programming without line stops via OLP
Delivered Systems

Systems delivered in the Portal & Gantry Systems family

Column gantry robotic welding system with a walkway platform 12 m X Gantry Column Gantry Robotic Welding System Robotic welding of large machine bodies within a 12 m × 3.5 m × 3 m envelope, with laser seam finding and offline programming. View Details Structural steel welding with two inverted robots on a 24-metre slider 24 m Slider Twin Inverted Robots on a 24-Metre Slider Two robots work in sync on HEB600 class profiles; both sides of a long beam are welded simultaneously and the part is never turned. View Details Tray welding system with an inverted-robot gantry and two L-type positioners 9 m Gantry Inverted-Robot Gantry Tray Welding System Access to every inner and outer seam on trays up to 3,000 × 1,800 × 400 mm, with two L-type positioners alternating. View Details Dual-cell tank welding system with two gantries and four positioners Twin Cells Dual-Cell Tank Welding System Two robots, two gantries and four positioners; X-Y-Z gantries reach every face of the tank while laser seam tracking follows the joint live. View Details Transformer side wall welding with an inverted robot on a 20-metre slider 20 m Slider 20-Metre Slider Side Wall Welding Line 20 metres on X and 1,200 mm on Y: several build areas are served by one robot, welding side walls up to 4 metres wide. View Details Twin-robot portal welding system over a panel table Panel Line Twin-Robot Panel Welding Portal Two robots travelling along a bridge over the panel table, with a walkway platform, torch cleaning stations and perimeter guarding built in. View Details Shipyard portal welding system equipped with a four-camera scanning system Scans · Analyses · Plans the Path Four-Camera Scanning Portal for Shipyards Four cameras on the bridge scan the part, analyse it and determine the weld path themselves. Developed specifically for shipyard conditions. View Details Twin-robot portal running on runway beams fixed to building columns Runway Mounted Twin-Robot Portal on Building-Mounted Runways The portal runs on runway beams fixed to the building columns instead of its own legs, so the floor stays clear for crane access.
