What the system does
A tray is box-shaped: some seams sit on the outside, others in the inner corners. A robot working from one position cannot reach them all.
The inverted-robot gantry travels 9 metres on X and 2 metres each on Y and Z, reaching every inner and outer seam. Two 2,000 kg L-type positioners alternate: while one station welds, the other is loaded, so the robot never waits.
Parametric and offline programming are used together; when the size changes the program is not rewritten but derived from the CAD model.
