Bottom Body Welding
Circumferential seams joining the bottom plate to the tank body, where oil tightness and flatness have to be held together.
What the system does
The bottom plate carries one of the most critical joints for oil tightness, and the seam runs uninterrupted around the tank. In manual welding it is hard to hold both pass continuity and the flatness of the base: as heat input accumulates, the base dishes.
The system rotates the part on a positioner to keep the seam in the ideal welding position; heat input stays constant around the circumference and distortion becomes predictable. The weld sequence is planned to preserve the flatness of the base.
