What the system does
Core stacking is the most labour-intensive step in transformer manufacturing, and misalignment comes straight back as no-load loss. In manual stacking both cycle time and accuracy depend on the operator.
Two sets of four-axis servo cartesian gantries work on this station. A force-controlled vacuum gripper tolerates lamination thickness variation and picks the sheet without damage. Three cameras check both the pick position and stack quality.
No robot program is written for a new core type: the operator enters a recipe at the HMI and the system generates the stacking plan parametrically. Cores up to 4,644 × 3,840 mm and laminations up to 5,000 mm cover large power transformers.
