RMU Welding
High-precision stainless steel welding tailored for gas-tight Ring Main Unit enclosures.
What the system does
Because RMU enclosures must be gas-tight, weld quality directly determines whether the product works. Heat input on stainless steel is sensitive: too much causes distortion and discolouration, too little leaves insufficient penetration.
The system is set up to run inside the narrow parameter window required for thin stainless sections. Where seam tracking is used, deviations from the actual joint line are compensated so the continuous seam needed for tightness is maintained.
What sets this system apart
- Narrow parameter window for stainless
- Continuous leak-tight seam
- Deviation compensation via seam tracking
- Low heat input control
Where is this system used?
