Robotic Loading and Unloading for a Paint Line
Four heavy-duty robots hang and unhook panels and posts onto a paint conveyor running at 4 m/min without stopping. A handling application, not welding.
- Robots
- 4 × 165 kg payload
- Conveyor Speed
- 4 m/min
- Panel Length
- Up to 3,030 mm
- Grip / Stack
- 80 kg / 2,500 kg
What the system does
A paint conveyor does not stop; a loading station that cannot keep up slows the whole plant. Manual hanging is also repetitive and tiring.
Here two loading and two unloading stations work together: products leaving the oven are placed on pallets while parts to be coated are hung on carriers. The conveyor keeps running at 4 m/min.
Three tool types (panel, box-profile post, rollform post) and an automatic tool changer mean no stop at product changeover. Eight pallet stations and a pallet transfer system also automate the flow of full and empty pallets.
What sets this system apart
- 4 heavy-duty robots, 2 loading + 2 unloading
- 3 tool types with an automatic tool changer
- 8 pallet stations with a transfer system
- Synchronised with a continuously running conveyor
Where is this system used?
- 01 Powder coating line loading and unloading
- 02 Fence panel and post production
- 03 Plants with continuous conveyors
