Side Wall Welding
Automated corrugated fin welding processes designed for optimal heat dissipation and structural integrity.
What the system does
The corrugated fins forming the side wall of a transformer tank determine both the cooling surface and the structural integrity of the tank. Achieving a leak-tight seam on thin sheet while limiting distortion depends heavily on operator skill in manual welding.
Robentex turns this step into a fixtured, repeatable process: the part position is held, the seam path is programmed, and welding parameters are applied identically for every fin. The system is engineered around the tank dimensions and fin geometry to be produced.
What sets this system apart
- Fixtured part location
- Repeatable seam path
- Distortion control on thin sheet
- Identical parameter set per fin
Where is this system used?
- 01 Distribution transformer tanks
- 02 Power transformer tanks
- 03 Corrugated fin panels
