Thin-Sheet Body Welding Cell
Minimum distortion on thin-sheet parts such as fan bodies through pulsed welding, with the positioner rotating as a robot axis.
- Positioner
- Dual-axis servo, 500 kg end axis
- Swing Diameter
- Ø1,800 mm
- Process
- Pulsed MIG/MAG (SuperPulse)
- Power Source
- 400 A inverter
What the system does
On thin sheet the real problem is not penetration but heat input: too much heat distorts the part, too little leaves the seam weak. In manual welding that balance rests on the operator.
Here the pulsed process keeps heat input under control; the bead comes close to a TIG appearance and distortion stays at its lowest. The dual-axis servo positioner is defined as a robot axis, so welding continues while the part rotates.
The cell frame and safety panels are engineered together with the system and delivered as a single transportable body.
What sets this system apart
- Low heat input through a pulsed process
- Synchronised dual-axis positioner
- Bead close to a TIG appearance
- Transportable cell on a single frame
